On Sunday, Aug. 12, the band New York Connection performed a free summer show at Echo Park baseball field in West Hempstead — the final concert in a series of shows hosted by the West Hempstead Community Support Association, in conjunction with Astoria Federal Bank. Residents flocked to the event, where they enjoyed an array of fine tunes, and relaxed and enjoyed each other’s company.
