On Thursday, May 10 at 7:00 p.m. the American Legion Post 1087 in West Hempstead was visited by Boy Scout Troop 93 from Franklin Square. There, boy scouts and veterans helped in assorting and packaging items to be sent to troops in Afghanistan.
Scouts also spoke with veterans about their experiences in World War II, and the Vietnam and Korean War.
