The mood was festive and celebratory on June 24 at the Tilles Center, where members of West Hempstead High School’s Class of 2012 walked the stage and happily accepted their diplomas.
Valedictorian Alex Sabella and Salutatorian Melissa Waldvogel delivered heartfelt graduation speeches at the commencement ceremony, and school officials, including Superintendent John Hogan, offered congratulatory remarks.
