The West Hempstead Street Fair was a hit this year, as hundreds came out for face painting, food and fun.
As music blared in the background, doezens walked up and down Nassau Boulevard last Sunday, checking out various vendors, eating hot dogs and ice cream, checking out the bouncy houses and stopping to visit the Courageous Cats booth were several kittens were waiting to be adopted.
The West Hempstead Chamber of Commerce and Community Support Association worked hard to ensure that the fair was as colorful and eventful as always.
