More than 200 people took a break from the cold with some south-of-the-border fun with Chabad of Merrick at a Purim feast with a Mexican theme on Feb. 28. From decor to costumes to Mexican fare from Kosher Emporium, the atmosphere was festive and the joy of Purim was felt by all. While adults enjoyed the Mariachi band, children prepared mini-sombrero gifts of food for one another, searched for coins hidden in Mexican beans to give to charity, painted maracas and busted open a cactus piñata. more
