Comfort in every respect

From the list of a dozen burgers, the Drunken one was a winner. Glazed with Guinness and served on a brioche, it was topped with beer onions and beer cheese to match. Shepherd’s pie was an outstanding casserole of ground meat sautéed with vegetables, Worcestershire sauce and Guinness, crowned with mashed potatoes, roasted corn, cheese and chives. Chicken Erica offered boneless breasts, morsels of sausage, sautéed spinach, cannelloni beans, onions, garlic and mushrooms on a bed of rice. The Plate was a smoked sampling of ribs, turkey, brisket, pulled pork, and a choice of two sides.

Desserts include a variety of pies and cakes. We will be back to try Cannolli Dip for Two — cannolli cream with chocolate chips and strawberries, with cookie pieces for dipping. How can that not be fantastic?
