Other highlights on the season included the performances of the team’s other captains, Chris Mann and Christian Flores. Mann, an All-Conference athlete, ran his personal best in the 400-meters this year, clocking in at 50.5 seconds, and also set two school records in the sprint medley relay. He “was a high scorer for us this season,” McGlynn said.

Flores, also an All-Conference runner, set a school record in the 200 meters at 22.2 seconds.

The team’s other key contributors included David Lin, who McGlynn said is “one of the team’s top sprinters,” running a personal best 10.9-second 100 meters during the conference meet.

Freshman David Wong, a long-jumper, leaped a personal best 18 feet-6 inches, and senior Jigar Gosalia “was a big scorer in almost all of our quad meets,” McGlynn said.

“We had a successful season,” said McGlynn, “We’re looking towards cross country next [fall]. We think we can win the championship next year.”
