Wednesday was a snow day in East Meadow.
After a winter storm hit the area overnight on Tuesday into Wednesday morning, residents were digging out and kids were gearing up to enjoy the snow. Estimated snow accumulation in East Meadow was about nine inches. Schools in East Meadow were closed on Wednesday.
