School spirit was on display at Grey and Maroon Night, which took place at W.T. Clarke Middle School Friday evening, June 3. Eighth graders from the school enthusiastically participated in a series of team challenges such as the tug-of-war and the ping-pong relay.
“The spirit was good, the enthusiasm was good, it was a good night overall,” said Ms. Condela, a phys-ed teacher in the school and the organizer of the festivities.
After the maroon team jumped out to an early lead, the grey team showed perseverance and mounted a come back. In the end, however, the maroon team just barely held on. They ultimately triumphed by a paper-thin five-point margin.
