Bowling Green third graders shine at annual recorder concert

On May 26, the third-grade classes at Bowling Green Elementary School performed in the school’s annual recorder concert. The students began playing their recorders in September.

The entire third grade performed the theme from Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, “Ode to Joy” and the theme and two variations of “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.” Each class also had the opportunity to perform a song they prepared by themselves.

The concert ended with two beloved children’s songs, “Happiness” from “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” and Disney’s “It’s a Small World.” Parents smiled and some were teary eyed at their children’s performance.
