The East Meadow Fire Department welcomed Brian McGee home last week.
Brian McGee returned home to his base in Jamaica.
Brian McGee, 24, a graduate of East Meadow High School’s class of 2005, returned home on April 8 after serving a tour of duty in Iraq for more than a year for the United States Army. He is a member of the 442nd Military Police Company, which is based at the Jamaica Armory in Queens. McGee, a private first-class, was recently promoted to Specialist.
McGee received a warm welcome home from his family, friends and fellow members of the East Meadow Fire Department. He has been an active member of the EMFD for more than five years, serving in Station No. 1, Engine Company No. 1, and was a junior firefighter as a teen.
