Cops investigate motorcycle crash on North Jerusalem Road

North Jerusalem Road, between Bruce Drive and Cynthia Drive in East Meadow, was closed in both directions for several hours on Wednesday night following a serious motorcycle accident.
   
The street was closed at about 5:50 p.m. on Wednesday after the driver of the motorcycle, while going westbound on North Jerusalem Road, swerved, likely to avoid a vehicle that was about to cut her off, a police officer on the scene said. She then crashed her motorcycle into a parked vehicle, the cop said.
   
The victim, an unidentified female, was transported to the Nassau University Medical Center, police said, and was expected to survive from her injuries. The investigation is continuing, police said.
