Woman robbed on East Meadow Avenue
A woman was attacked on the morning of April 7 while she was walking on East Meadow Avenue near Lincoln Avenue, police said.
According to authorities, 19-year-old Brandon Lee Cruz and an unknown woman exited a light-colored four-door car when Cruz repeatedly started to punch and kick the woman before forcefully stealing her cell phone. He was located and arrested following an investigation by the First Squad. The Fugitive Squad and United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force also assisted in the investigation.
Cruz is being charged with two counts of second-degree robbery, resisting arrest, violating parole and violating conditional discharge.

- A person was arrested after stealing $63 worth of items from Home Depot in East Meadow on April 22.
- An unknown person damaged tires on a vehicle that was parked on Amherst Street in East Meadow on April 21.
