Students at both W.T. Clarke and Woodland middle schools were recognized as “Terrific Kids” for September, October and November during the Nov. 19 East Meadow School District Board of Education meeting.

The Terrific Kids program is sponsored by the East Meadow Kiwanis Club. It’s designed to recognize sixth, seventh and eighth grade students who constantly improve as individuals, students and members of the community every month.

Kiwanis Club President Brian O’Flaherty, Clarke Middle School Principal Stacy Breslin, Woodland Principal James Lethbrigde, Superintendent Leon Campo and members of the board congratulated the students. Campo commended them for their great citizenship and for caring for one another.

“These are great role models,” he said of the students. “I think that these are the young people who are going to lead this world to a better place in years to come.”
