East Meadow resident honored for 25 years of service at Holy Trinity

East Meadow resident, Judy Timulty, was recently honored during the annual Secretaries Luncheon at Holy Trinity High School for 25 years of dedicated service to the school’s guidance department. Principal Gene Fennell presented her with a gold medallion necklace of the school’s seal.

Timulty first became involved at Holy Trinity as a member of the Parents Club, volunteering for Bingo Night. Three years later, she helped the Guidance Department as a leave replacement for a secretary who became ill.  She was hired as a full-time secretary shortly after and hasn’t left since. Her first daughter graduated in 1985. Two more daughters graduated in 1988 and 1990.  She currently has a grand-daughter attending the school.

In 2009, Timulty was honored by the Nassau Counselors Association at their annual luncheon for Guidance Administrative Assistants. Sr. Margaret Casey, Holy Trinity’s Director of Guidance, nominated Judy for a “Be Pampered for a Day” contest. She wrote, “after being diagnosed with cancer, Timulty went to Sloan Kettering for her treatment and came to work later the same day ...  today we are benefitting from the dedication and work ethic of this exceptional woman.”

Asked to reflect on her 25 years with the school, Timulty does not hesitate. “I have loved every minute," she said. "The staff is the most supportive there is.  It’s a second home and a great place to work.”
