Posted

The East Meadow Soccer Club, one of Long Island's largest clubs, founded in 1971, invites all committed female soccer players to become a part of its program. The Girls U11 Program (for girls born between Aug. 1, 1999, and July 31, 2000) will host open tryouts on the following dates:

Tuesday, June 1, at 5:30 p.m. at Speno Park in East Meadow (rain date June 8).

Sunday, June 13, at 5:30 p.m. at Speno.

The GU11 East Meadow Goldstars '99 currently sit at the top of Division 1 and are a highly competitive team that plans to pursue the highest level of soccer available for their age group, including some out-of-state tournaments. The Goldstars are seeking dedicated, talented, and respectful soccer players and families to join the program. The team is run full time by a professional trainer and will practice two to three times a week.

The GU11 East Meadow Lightning -- LIJSL D3 Spring 2010 complements the Goldstars and provides a competitive environment, but requires less of a time commitment. The Lightning requires a dedication to league games and local tournaments, and works side by side with the East Meadow Goldstars to develop and prepare players for a higher level of competition. The team, which has placed first and second at major local tournaments this year, is also run full time by a professional trainer and will practice two times a week.

Finally, the East Meadow Soccer Club is looking to form a team that will play in a lower division of the Long Island Junior Soccer League to provide all interested U11 girls the opportunity to play next year.

The training staff holds National Soccer Coaches Association credentials, and has guided teams to several state championships and regional appearances, as well as trained numerous Region 1 Teams –– the highest level of Premier soccer.
