E.M. store robbed at gunpoint

An East Meadow store was robbed at gunpoint on Dec. 23, police said.
According to detectives, at about 11:40 p.m., three employees were leaving MJM Designer Shoe store located at 2501 Hempstead Turnpike when a man confronted them with a silver automatic handgun.
The subject forced the victims to the rear of the store, police said, where he removed approximately $12,500.00 from the safe and then fled in an unknown direction.
Detectives described the suspect as a black male, about 6 feet tall and 160 pounds, wearing dark sweatpants, a dark sweatshirt and blue and orange sneakers.
