The Matuszak family are utilizing all available resource to locate their missing Havanese puppy.

The 4-month-old, who is not even allowed in the yard without supervision, potentially slipped out the front door behind the home health aid on Thursday evening, but the worried family is still unsure how she went missing and desperately wants Lilly back.

Triplets Sydney, Ian and Alec, along with their parents, Kerri and Edward, and nearly 15 additional neighbors, including the Atchinson family, went in search of the puppy through a severe thunderstorm and into the early morning hours. “I was going through backyards with a flashlight at two in the morning,” recalled Edward. “With permission,” Sydney added.

The family has posted flier around town, reached out on multiple social networks like Facebook and Twitter and went door-to-door looking for Lilly.

With no current leads and the days passing by, the family tries to remain positive. “Hopefully she’s at someone’s home and they don’t know she’s missing,” said Sydney.

Lilly, who is white with brown spots is wearing a pink and beige collar. She does not have a name tag or tracking chip since she was born at home and is only a few weeks old.

Knowing there are hawks in Salisbury, Kerri Matuszak adds, there is a possibility that Lilly, who is a mere four pounds, was snatched by one of the predators.

When asked what it would mean to have Lilly back, the family agreed “everything.” Ian and Alec, who have limiting disabilities, are often home and Lilly was not just a pet, but also a form of therapy for the boys, said their mother Kerri.

Lilly’s parents Max and Lola are also noticeably sad by her disappearance, the Matuszak family explained.

The family is requesting information for any potential leads and sincerely hope to locate Lilly. If you have any information, please contact Kerri at (516) 997-9254.
