Holy Trinity hosts Christmas concert

Posted

The Holy Trinity Orthodox Church community welcomed East Meadowites and more to their choir’s free Christmas concert.

Holy Trinity is a community of Orthodox Christian people who come from all walks of life, “gathering in the oneness of Faith to worship God through daily prayer, weekly services, and annual feasts,” according to the church website. Parish leaders said the congregation also has a strong commitment to serving others — and particularly those in need — supporting local food banks, providing school supplies for underprivileged children, and meals to homeless people on a weekly basis.

The choir’s performance was held on Saturday, Dec. 5. at the church, at 369 Green Ave. The group delighted the crowd with renditions of Orthodox and Western hymns and carols for Christmas and St. Nicholas Day.

Advent refreshments were served after the concert. A Christmas boutique and door prize drawing were also held during the reception.

Church leaders also invite community members to attend the Christmas Divine Liturgy service, which is conducted in English. Prayer begins at 9:30 a.m., and a festive brunch will follow the service. For more information, call (516) 483-3649, email info@htocem.org, or visit htocem.org.
