Hudes presents 'TOH and You' to E.M. Hadassah

While many residents are aware of the numerous and diverse services offered in the Town of Hempstead (TOH), some are not. Town of Hempstead Councilman Gary Hudes has assembled a presentation of town services addressing that need for
information.

Last month, Hudes presented “TOH & You” to members of the East Meadow Simcha Chapter of Hadassah. The event, which took place at the East Meadow Public Library, was warmly and gratefully received, according to Chapter President Lois Meierhof. She went on to say, “Councilman Hudes gave a very informative and entertaining presentation. Many people learned a lot about things that they were not aware of, like the individual parks and what is available to seniors.”

Explaining the program, the councilman said, “When I make my ‘Town of Hempstead and You’ multi-media PowerPoint presentation, I provide a complete overview of all of the various day-to-day services for which the Town is responsible. They include garbage and recycling collection programs, building permits, street lighting, roadside tree planting, street maintenance, senior citizen and children programs, as well as an incredible network of community-friendly parks and pools. I then open up the floor to a discussion of any individual questions or community concerns that participants may have. The Hadassah members were extremely interested, enthusiastic about the information presented and a pleasure to speak with.”
