Jets' Homecoming is Saturday

It’s East Meadow High’s turn to celebrate Homecoming this weekend, as the Jets will take the field against visiting Baldwin at 2 p.m., but not before students, faculty and community members march in the annual parade.

The festivities commence around noon at Veterans Memorial Park, at the corner of East Meadow and Prospect avenues, as the procession will begin its march to East Meadow High School on Carman Avenue.

Last year’s parade was forced to take place indoors because of rain, but it did not dampen the students’ school spirit. This year, as of Tuesday afternoon, the National Weather Service predicted good weather — 60 degrees and sunny.
