Kevin Jackson among state’s best

Kevin Jackson, 13, an eighth-grader at W.T. Clarke Middle School, took second place in the 128-pound weight class at the New York State Youth Wrestling Championships, which were held in Bay Shore on March 5 and March 6. 

The top wrestlers from all over New York State competed in various weight classes for the NY State Championship title. 

Kevin made it all the way to the finals where he lost a close match 2-1, to a wrestler from Albany, New York, earning second place. Earlier this year Kevin took first place in the Nassau County Youth Championship.

  The Jackson family congratulates Kevin and is very proud of his accomplishments.
