Kiwanian of the Year: Debbie Kirsh

Debbie Kirsh, left with Jim Mancuso, was named Kiwanian of the Year at East Meadow Kiwanis Recognition Night on Sept. 28 at Borrelli’s. 

Kirsh, currently the second vice president, has been a Kiwanian for six years, and served as secretary in 2009-10. She chaired several committees, including the interclubs and the “200” club fundraiser program. 

Beyond Kiwanis, Kirsh is actively involved in the East Meadow community, where she has lived for 27 years. She is a member of the East Meadow Chamber of Commerce, the Community Association of Stewart Avenue, the Jail Advisory Committee and the W.T. Clarke PTSA. Kirsh has also served as a trustee on the East Meadow Board of Education and was president of the PTA.
