Legis. Gonsalves honors Eagle Scout

Alternate Deputy Presiding Officer, Legislator Norma L. Gonsalves (R-East Meadow, LD 13) attended Troop 362 Eagle Court of Honor for James Egan at the East Meadow Fire Department Headquarters in East Meadow. James Egan is a resident of East Meadow. Gonsalves presented a Nassau County Legislative Citation to Eagle Scout Egan in recognition of the hard work he did for his Eagle Project.

Egan’s final project was to make four mini movies about recycling, “Going Green,” and helping the environment. The segments were, “Going Green in the Home,” “Going Green in School,” “Going Green in the Workplace,” and “Going Green in the Outdoors.” The four short films were shown together creating, “Going Green in East Meadow.” Each movie demonstrated to young students how to “Go Green” in their daily routines. After the films were recorded and edited, they were presented with to the students at Parkway Elementary School in East Meadow.
