Levittown woman charged with burglary

On July 6, a 23-year-old woman who was renting an upstairs apartment in a home in Levittown was observed on a surveillance camera entering the homeowner’s bedroom and removing 80 dollars from a dresser drawer, detectives said. The homeowner, a 51-year-old woman, had become suspicious of her tenants and installed the surveillance camera after continually discovering personal property missing during the past four months.
The tenant was charged with burglary in the second degree and was arraigned on July 7 at the First District Court in Hempstead.
