LIRR delays on Wednesday

The LIRR is continuing to operate on only one of two tracks between Westbury & Hicksville due to the New York & Atlantic Railway freight derailment west of Hicksville on Tuesday afternoon. Westbound trains will be bypassing Carle Place & Westbury, with very limited bus service from those stations to Mineola - customers advised to take alternate LIRR service. Regularly scheduled eastbound train service on Ronkonkoma & Huntington/Port Jefferson branches is suspended between 6 a.m. & 10 a.m. Customers are advised to use alternate LIRR train service on the Babylon and Montauk Branches. Customers are urged to monitor the LIRR's website, the TrainTime App & media reports for service updates. Customers also advised to subscribe to email & text alerts, follow @LIRR on Twitter, and listen for station announcements.
