Math wiz kids take part in regional competition

Select seventh and eighth-grade students from Woodland Middle School recently participated in the Long Island Math Fair Competition at Hofstra University. Each student wrote a research paper on a specific mathematics topic and presented his or her research to a panel of judges.

Following the competition, four seventh graders and 14 eighth graders were chosen to represent Nassau County in the medal round against Suffolk County on April 20.
