NUMC Kiwanians give back to the kids

The Nassau University Kiwanis backpack drive exceeded its goal for this year thanks to the generous donations by hospital staff. The critical care staff provided 20 packs filled with school supplies and snacks for the very grateful children who recently headed back to school last week.

Celebrating in the summer

On a warm summer weekend families from throughout Long Island headed to Eisenhower Park for the South Asian Independence Day Celebration. Among the many attendees was Hempstead Town Receiver of Taxes Don Clavin, right, who is pictured with Zahid Syed, of East Meadow, and Garden City resident Howard Taylor, left.

Time to hit the books

East Meadow graduates Alyssa Mazzaro, Michael Conway, Daniel Matishek, Samantha McCaffery, Trevor Mitchel and David Snyder were accepted to SUNY Oneonta and will begin their collegiate studies this fall.
