Nearly 50 fifth-grade Parkway Elementary students in the school Art Club created a wall mural composed of 144 painted and glazed tiles.

Each student in the club was assigned to paint at least a few tiles to contribute to the mural, which was later assembled and glazed by Art Teacher Franceska Baer. The mural ties in with the character education program and is titled, “Have You Filled a Bucket Today?”

This is the second mural project the Parkway Art Club has completed. Students in the club last year helped create the Parkway Bear to welcome those entering their school.

Parkway would like to share a special thank you to the custodial staff for hanging the mural, which is located in the 300-wing.
