Though the weather was brisker than the unseasonably warm weather earlier in the week, baseball/softball fever was in the air on April 10. Players, coaches and fans of the Central Nassau and East Meadow Little Leagues marched down the streets, ready for the new season.
The Central Nassau Athletic Association Little League parade kicked off next to the Carvel on Carman Avenue, and went to their fields at Salisbury Park Drive. As for the East Meadow Baseball/Softball Association, the parade left Veterans Memorial Park and finished at the Merrick Avenue complex.
Good luck to all the players as they embark on the 2010 season.
