Police arrested a man who stalked a 23-year old woman in Salisbury on July 20 and exposed himself to her from outside her bedroom window, according to officials.

Allan Delfino, 42, of East Meadow, was on Plumtree Road when he approached the window of the Salisbury resident and exposed himself to her, police said. The victim screamed, alerting a 36-year old neighbor who saw Delfino run into the victim’s yard and jump over a fence.

According to police, the neighbor, whose identity was not given, tackled Delfino to restrain him and waited for officers to arrive. However, Delfino punched the neighbor in the face multiple times and escaped, leaving him with contusions to her left eye. He was treated at the scene, but refused further treatment.

After searching the area, police found the defendant and arrested him. He is being charged with accounts of assault, stalking, criminal trespass and public lewdness. He was arraigned on July 25 at the Nassau County First District Court.
