East Meadow restaurant hosts memorial toy drive

The event is held each year in honor of the late Murphy, a regular at the East Meadow restaurant and a longtime Santa Claus for patients at the Nassau University Medical Center’s Pediatric Unit.

On Sunday, Potters Pub hosted the second annual Toy Drive in honor of the late Frank Murphy.
Murphy was a beloved customer of Potter’s and a longtime volunteer at the Nassau University Medical Center. Each year, Frank acted as “Secret Santa” for the kids in the NUMC Pediatric Center.
The event, hosted by Potter’s owners Mike and Joyce Amitrano and organized with Frank’s parents Jeanette and Dan Murphy, benefited the Nassau University Medical Center Pediatric Center, as well as other local hospitals and charities.
