Rose Fuger named to ‘50 or So Around 50’

Rose Fuger, founder and co-owner of A Taste of Home Bakery in North Bellmore, was named to the list of “50 or So Around 50” by Long Island Business News.

Fuger, along with other honorees, was recognized for her achievements at a ceremony in the Garden City Hotel on Sept. 24.

According to LIBN, people named to the “50 or So Around 50” are “hard-working and dynamic men and women” who are “dedicated to Long Island’s strong, successful companies and organizations.”


Fuger, an East Meadow resident, is currently the 1st Vice President for the East Meadow Chamber of Commerce. She was named “Small Businessperson of the Year” by the East Meadow Chamber of Commerce in 2006. Fuger was also recently named as one of Assemblyman Rob Walker’s “Women of Distinction” for 2009.

She is married to Dan, and has three sons who attend East Meadow schools.

Fuger co-owns A Taste of Home with her sister, Monica Tarantino. The bakery, which is also a cafe and sweet shop that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, is located on 1992 North Jerusalem Road.
