Street hockey teams score

On Aug. 10 and Aug. 12, the children on the Veterans Memorial Pool Street Hockey Team participated in an annual tournament sponsored by the Town of Hempstead. The tournament was held at Shell Creek Park in Long Beach. Veteran’s Memorial Park Pool sent two teams to the tournament.

The junior team consists of boys and girls ages 5 through 8 and the senior team consists of children ages 9 through 13. Hard work led to second-place finishes for both teams in the respective divisions.
