Two teams clashed last weekend for two important goals — fun and bragging rights.
On Saturday, Grieco Field at the East Meadow Baseball/Softball Complex was the site for the second annual softball game between the Barnum Woods PTA and the staff.
Stephanie and Michael Inger of the PTA coordinated the event, a new tradition at Barnum Woods.
An enthusiastic crowd cheered on the teams. The game ended in a 9-9 tie after the two-hour time limit expired.
Concessions sold throughout the game benefited the Friends of Barnum Woods Elementary.
