Town honors kids’ lacrosse student coaches

Kathleen and Kim of the Cortland lacrosse team coached girls ages 7 to 15 at the Lacrosse Academy Clinic. The Town recognized them for their devotion to teaching the younger players both skill and sportsmanship.

The Town of Hempstead Lacrosse Academy Clinic for boys and girls ages 7 to 15 was in July at Speno Park in East Meadow. Town Council members honored the coaches of the boys’ team, Sean and Tom of the Nassau Community College lacrosse team, and of the girls’ team, Kathleen and Kim of the Cortland lacrosse team July 11 for their ‘wholehearted commitment to athletic excellence and good sportsmanship.’ The Lacrosse Academy is now in its 7th season.
