Women robbed, stabbed outside Walmart

A 42-year old woman was robbed and stabbed while unloading groceries into her vehicle outside of Walmart on 2465 Hempstead Turnpike, according to Nassau County Police.

Police say the women, at 10:35 p.m. on Tuesday, was confronted by a black male, approximately six feet tall with a stocky build, who demanded her pocketbook.

After obtaining the pocketbook, police say the man stabbed the woman in the left forearm with an unknown object, and then fled the scene in a red vehicle.

The woman was transported to a nearby hospital via police ambulance and treated for a non-life threatening injury.
