Local firefighters were tackling water to get to fire on Sunday morning as Hurricane Irene lashed Long Island. Fire calls included a rescue of two hanicapped people from a flooded house oun 5th Avenue in Bay Park. During a call to a house fire on Adams Street, they were by flooded streets. more
