Brooklyn man found dead in Inwood

Police consider it a targeted shooting

Police are investigated what they term as a homicide after responding to a 911 call by a passerby who found a dead man identified as Deshawn Henry, 22, of Brooklyn, at 39 James Street in Inwood at 6:30 p.m. on July 14.

            Detective Capt. John Azzata, commanding officer of the Nassau County Homicide Squad, said that Henry was found in the bushes, bleeding and apparently dead. He said it wasn’t a random act of violence and Henry was targeted.
