Named to auxiliary police executive board

Capt. Danny Gluck was sworn in to the auxiliary police executive board.

Capt. Danny Gluck of the Nassau County Auxiliary Police’s 4th Precinct South Unit, which serves the Five Towns, Oceanside, Island Park, Pt. Lookout and Lido Beach, was sworn in to the auxiliary police’s executive board on Jan. 8.

The executive board, which oversees the daily operations of the Auxiliary Police Program in Nassau County in conjunction with the Nassau County Police Department, elected Gluck on Jan. 3 at a meeting at the Public Safety Center in Westbury.

Gluck, a Woodmere resident and HAFTR graduate, has volunteered his time tor the auxiliary police for the past 14 years. The volunteer unit patrols daily and seeks to protect life and property, and deter crime.
