The annual SIBSPlace dinner and auction at the Seawane Club in Hewlett Harbor on May 4 was attended by 250 people and $280,000 was raised through the sale of 189 items.

SIBSplace is a free program of South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside founded by Hewlett Harbor resident Michael Schamroth that provides support for children 5-17 who have a sibling or a parent suffering from cancer or another devastating illness.

South Nassau’s executive chef Stephen A. Bello was the honoree, and Terri and Steven Gold chaired the event.
