Inwood resident Patty Vacchio was named the Inwood Civic Association’s Citizen of the Year. Vacchio, a 28-year resident of the hamlet, has assisted with several local organizations, including the Inwood Buccaneers Athletic Club and the civic association and its website Inside Inwood. In addition, she established eNVy, Embracing Noble Values for Young People, nonprofit organization in memory of her son, Nicholas, who died in 2011.
