A tornado touched down in Woodmere, three others in Suffolk County

The National Weather Service confirmed that fout tornaodes touched down on Long Island during the storm on Nov. 13. Two  were classified as EF-O tornadoes. One in Woodmere which then moved towards Uniondale and Levittown.

The other was in East Islip that also touched Oakdale. An EF-O tornado  is considered the weakest type on what is called the Enhanced Fujita Scale. It typically has winds speeds between 65 and 85 mph. An EF-1 tornado struck Shirley and then Manorville and another tornado touched dow in the Remsenburg to the Westhampton area.

As of 3:30 pa.m., PSEG Long Island  reports that two outages affecting less than five customers remain in Woodere.  Power is expected to be  restored by 4 p.m.
