Daniel Miller, the Inwood man who is alleged to have sexually assaulted a teenage boy and is implicated in plotting the young man’s murder is now facing new charges.

Miller, 45, was arraigned on multiple counts of grand larceny and criminal possession of a forged instrument on Sept. 5. He is accused of stealing more than $205,000 through bogus checks to three payment processing businesses between July 2009 and November 2010.

In January, Miller allegedly drugged and had sex with a 17-year-old employee of his religious items store in Inwood. The young man is a Lawrence High School student. Miller was arrested for that crime in April.

While in jail at the Nassau County Correctional Center in East Meadow, Miller supposedly met with a man in June that he tried to hire to kill the teen who would be testifying against him. That man informed police about the alleged plan.

The alleged plot also involved Miller’s mother, Mary Miller, 80, and sister, Ann Miller, 59. Both have been indicted for their roles in the apparent murder-for-hire scheme. Mary Miller worked as a secretary at Lawrence High School and allegedly stole personal information about the teenager.

Miller is currently incarcerated on $5 million bond or $2.5 million cash for the murder plot. Bail for the forgery charges was set at $100,000 cash or bond. He is due back in court on Sept. 13.

If convicted on the forgery charges, Miller could serve between 10 to 20 years in prison.
