Mostly Cloudy Arrest made in Lawrence Robbery

Police arrested Kimani Jones, 18, of Martin Court, Far Rockaway, for allegedly accosting and robbing a 60-year-old woman near 49 Lawrence Ave. in Lawrence on July 20 at 912 a.m.
Jones approached the woman from behind, twisted her arm and grabbed her iPhone. He then fled in a tan colored 2007 Ford Edge with a New Jersey license of U28-AEW driven by a woman, who is considered to have a heavy build, police said.
Charged with robbery-third degree, Jones was arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead.
