Atlantic Bridge and the northbound Seagirt Boulevard entrance to the Nassau Expressway (Route 878)) have been reopened, police said.
New York State Department of Transportation officials are examined the damage and approved the reopening of the bridge and roadway
A truck struck the Atlantic Beach Bridge sometime after 10 a.m., Tuesday, which forced the closure of the northbound side until 4:35 p.m. The Seagirt Boulevard entrance to the Nassau Expressway was also closed northbound.
