On Sunday, 65 people came out to Woodmere Lanes in Woodmere to participate in a bowling fundraiser to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The fundraiser was apart of Lynbrook South Middle School seventh-grader Ben Rehs’ mitzvah project. He decided the bowling event should benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society because his grandfather died from leukemia. Nearly $3,000 was raised from the event, according to Rehs’ mother, Michelle.
