A car went into reverse and struck a pedestrian at the Bay Harbour Mall in Lawrence on May 7.

A motorist accidentally went into reverse and struck a pedestrian outside the Target immediately next to the CVS Pharmacy in the outdoor Bay Harbour Mall at 345 Rockaway Turnpike in Lawrence on May 7, officials said.
The Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department responded to the call. The driver of the car and passenger were examined by emergency medical service personnel and refused medical attention, LFCD officials said.
The pedestrian suffered what was described as minor injuries and taken to a local hospital.
“Crews ensured that there was no structural damage to the building,” officials stated.
