Cars in show

Pat Laino's car show winning 1966 Chevy Nova highlighted the inaugural Inwood event on June 19 at the train station that organizers Pete Sobol and Victor Peppe seek to hold annually.

The amount of cars and the participation from volunteers to visitors helped make the car show a success, including the Five Towns Community Center that had face painting and crafts for children and those that dared the dunk tank: Matt Walsh, Father Larry Duncklee, John Kinder, Allen Rizzo, Julio from Julio’s Deli, Ryan Mosley from the Hard Knox, Mike DeRosa, and Edith from the Post Office.

Sponsoring organizations included, the Inwood Buccaneers, Inwood Civics and Five Towns Community Center. And many made it happen, including Khalil Robinson, Billy from Westminister Auto, Mike Dellaquilla, Michael of PIP Printing and Alan Lev. There were several performances from Lawrence High School Future Singing Stars to Kathy Smith as Phyllis Diller.
