Cedarhurst Eagle Scout honored by Nassau County comptroller

Cedarhurst resident Emmanuel Theodosiou  earned the rank of Eagle Scout — the highest rank in the Boy Scouts — and was presented with a citation by Nassau County Comptroller George Maragos at a Troop 568 ceremony.

To earn Eagle Scout, a scout must obtain 21 merit badges (10 more than is required for Life rank) and complete a community-oriented project.

Maragos is one of two Democratic candidates running for county executive. County Legislator Lauren Curran (D-Baldwin) is the other. Jack Martins is currently the only Republican candidate.
